Some time ago, I still had my laptop connected to my Samsung TV, so the screen of the laptop was displayed on the TV.
Meanwhile, the TV is no longer recognized.
Greeting Schatiek
The Samsung TV must of course be in the same local network.
You can check this on the configuration page of the router (with a browser) in the network area, if the TV is online. The TV must not be connected to the guest network.
Or if you know the local IP address of the TV with the command cmd (command prompt)
ping 192.168.1.xxx
Of course, as xxx you have to specify the IP of the TV.
Tip:
In the router the TV always give the same IP address (you can set), so that this always receives the same IP from the DHCP of the router. Because your PCs or laptops… Devices remember the IP of your display device (= your TV).
Maybe you have had an adhoc wireless connection (= direct connection) between laptop and TV. This is unfavorable, it is better to integrate the TV into your network (infrastructure) and then look in the network with Windows for new devices.
Yes, look with Windows for new devices in your network…
