Students an iPad with Apple pencil and keyboard and then a mini laptop so I have an iPad with keyboard and everything and use it for lectures and homework. Why do some have both one for lectures and one for writing and assignments
Some programs are not available for tablets. In addition, some laptops have better keyboards.
If it's all about writing, I don't see the point either.
Some people just take off.
Joking aside, it is often not possible to install all programs on the tablet, i.e. Only on the laptop. Therefore, many students use the laptop when they have to type a lot (have to write texts) or for certain programs and the tablet or iPad, e.g. When they have to write many formulas in physics that they can't enter with the keyboard.
Perhaps many don't want to lose the feeling of writing correctly either. If you just type, then at some point you can no longer write so nicely or get a cramp after a few minutes of writing, or something.
You will have reasons for it, after all, the devices are not particularly cheap.
