Windows 10 portable?

I wanted to ask something and I got a very old laptop from my sis that still has Windows XP on it but only has 230 MB RAM, it would work if I put Windows 10 portable on a USB stick and then start it from there that the system runs a bit faster or will it not work at all?

That should work but remember that win 10 is more demanding and it will be worse

An alternative to Windows would also be Linux, there are also slimmed-down versions that run well on old PCs.

Because the RAM is far too small, you can forget about that
For Win10 32 bit you should upgrade to at least 2000 GB of RAM.

Well that is probably a laptop from 2000 or even older that will unfortunately no longer work with the old thing, which I think has ddr2 or even older
