There are no different versions.

With you it looks as if pens were broken off or pulled out there.

Does your laptop even have a VGA port?

Or does it have DVI and you've already tried an adapter?

With DVI it has to be a DVI-I connection. Because only this can also receive analog signals from VGA.

Ro

Stink normal VGA. The cable is missing pins. So I think it's because there's no picture xD

Fr

I say that the connector is defective and that 4 pins are missing.

Br

Analog VGA with D-Sub 15 socket.

Please note that modern PC graphics cards from AMD and Nvidia can no longer output analog video signals for monitors that only need analog input in their input.

From an exemplary Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 to an ancient monitor with this connection, you would therefore need an active analog to digital converter for the respective interface connections.

However, if graphics output and screen input both had this plug contact, you would have to look for D-Sub 15 VGA cable.

My laptop has a normal vga connection… The places where pins are missing are clearly welded shut so they have not broken off

Al

My laptop has a vga connection… So it should be able to output analog signals?

Br

Which graphic solution (s) is / are built into it exactly?

If the book actually has this connection, it should normally be able to output at least one of the integrated graphics solutions directly to analog signals on external screens.

Br

With DE 15 for VGA, not all contacts between graphics card and monitor have to be connected. See here in the pin assignment:

Please again for stupid people please

Which graphics chips are in your notebook? (E.g. Intel HD 3000 Graphics and possibly also Geforce 650 … Or AMD + AMD)

If your book has such a connection, it must normally be able to output analog VGA signals. But notebooks don't necessarily have just one graphics solution.
