You can pack the best components into a PC, if compatible. With a computer cluster, you could also operate all of them at the same time, but this is only possible with special software.

Well, this shouldn't be a joke now. You can remove the RAM and then install it in another PC. Why shouldn't that work?
Of course, if there are two different generations, that won't work. A DDR2 bar does not fit into a DDR3 slot and vice versa. Just like an AMD processor does not fit into an Intel socket. And so on.
