There's no sound from the projector?

I bought a projector (Crossroad p600) and want to connect it to my laptop, so I did it, but no sound comes out. What should I do?

de

Does the projector have speakers?

gr

With projectors, the sound is usually played on external devices.

I'm not a professional now, but I don't know of any projector that plays a sound itself…

Does the projector have speakers? If not: topic through, nothing comes out
How do you connect your laptop? Via HDMI? And if so: Did you also give the laptop the command to output the sound to the projector via the HDMI? And again if so and the projector does not have its own speakers: Does it have an additional audio output so that you can connect speakers THERE (which doesn't make sense, you could also hang them directly on the laptop…)?

If the projector has no speakers, no sound comes out either! You have to buy speaker boxes.

Do

Some projectors have built-in (albeit rather bad) boxes. If you connect the source via HDMI, the sound is usually also output via the projector boxes.

Mostly it doesn't make sense because the boxes are mostly miserable. It is better to attach a few suitable ones directly to the signal source (often then to the laptop).

Yes

So assuming the projector has speakers, you have to select the projector as the playback device in your audio options. Simply enter "sound settings" in the search line of Win10 and open the menu.

The projector has its own speakers, I connected it via HDMI. But I don't know how to give the command to output the sound via the projector

Do

Take a look at the toolbar at the bottom right of the laptop: You should see the loudspeaker symbol there. If you click on it, you will probably see something like "Output via HDMI". You then choose that.

Ai

It says nothing about HDMI: /

As soon as the HDMI cable is plugged in and the picture runs over the projector, there MUST be another option.

Do you generally have sound on your laptop? If it already fails DA, then it is due to the driver of the sound card. Is there something from "Realtec" or something like that?
