Nice day
I have a problem and I want to connect my laptop to the TV, i.e. With the HDMI cable, so when I plug it in with the laptop + TV it switches, but stays black when I switch over to Windows + P nothing works, so nothing happens, what can that be? Otherwise it always worked.
My old computer is fine, can someone help me there?
I know the problem, have you tried all the HDMI ports? Irritatingly, and I say that after hours of research, it was the cable. For whatever reason, it was not strong enough (it was practically new) and only the HDMI cable of my Blueray player helped here. You may also want to see if you have selected the correct HDMI input on the TV and restart both the notebook and the television with the cables inserted.
Yes, I tried all connections, I tried the HDMI cable of my TV adapter (or TV box) myself, nothing.
What TV and laptop do you use? The resolution of the notebook may be a problem. But honestly, I still think the cable is the problem. As a workaround, try whether "Mirrorcast" or "wireless connection" works. But be careful: Both devices, i.e. TV and notebook, must be in the same Wi-Fi network and both on the same frequency. (i.e. Both at 2.4 or 5 Ghz)
I have an HP laptop or an HP ENVY - 17-ae084nz and a Durabase TV, almost a Durabase DL55U500S4CW. It can't be because of the television or laptop, because it worked there for a long time and without problems. Then it may also not be due to the cable 🤔😕.
