I have bought the current mini PC for astro applications and am considering how I can supply it with 5 volts at 3 amps on the go. There's a stationary power supply unit, but I want to use the little wonder thing on the go.
I have a "Powertank" (with a 12 V battery) for my other devices, but the two USB ports only deliver 1.5 A.
The usual USB ports on laptops have even less amps. Are there power banks that meet such special requirements?
If it could be some handicraft work, something like this would come into question:

But the Strompi would also be good for your requirements:

You can connect a car battery to both, the output current is up to 3 A. The current pi is, as the name suggests, matched to the Raspberry Pi. It is placed on the GPIO pins and provides the power supply. The voltage can be adjusted for the step-down converter. However, it seems to me to be a bit fiddly because this is done by means of a potentiometer. My favorite for your needs would be the Strompi.
