How do I finally reset my laptop?

So I finally want to reset my old laptop to factory settings. I successfully started the reset process under the settings, but when I restarted the laptop hung at 25 percent for ages, which is why I switched it off. When I started up the laptop afterwards, I could choose between the same operating systems (Windows 10 Edition 4) twice, but the laptop restarted after the selection and I ended up with the operating system selection again. So there was a loop.

After reading my way through a few forums, I created a boot usb stick and restarted the laptop via the BIOS. Installation of Windows 10, but the laptop now hangs on the screen "Preparation in progress".

So what should i do now? Is this all because Windows 8 was previously installed as the operating system on the laptop?

Is the laptop compatible with Win10? All USB devices unplugged?

Otherwise format the hard disk before installation

So I'm pretty sure that the laptop is compatible with Win10 because I had it on it before. Hard disk is already formatted. I'll just leave it in "preparation running" mode for a long time.

Possibly. Taken the 64-bit version even though the laptop only has a 32-bit processor?

Possibly. Try with a https://www.tecchannel.de/a/windows-10-iso-dateien-nun-auch-direkt-zum-download,3280390 from Win10?

Nah, it's already 64bit compatible, I'm absolutely sure. But I haven't tried that with the older version yet, I might try that if things really don't go on now. Thank you very much! Where do I get the older versions from?

It says in the link…

Oh yes, I missed that. Sorry!

Well then, good luck and a happy new year!
