Look for B-Ware or Refurbished. These are, as today the latest technology is required by the companies for leasing laptops, still quite current, and because professional equipment very high quality laptops, completely reviewed and cleaned thoroughly for a very reasonable price. This is often the better choice than budget-priced consumer laptops, which often cost more.

I also needed a new notebook after 10 years or so and opted for a used Acer Aspire7750G 17-inch 64-bit screen, for $ 150.

Runs perfectly, have it for about 3 months…

Before that, I also had an Acer that ran smoothly all those years, but now Vista has long been obsolete, no updates, no antivirus and Tor does not work anymore. That's the only reason a new man came.
