Pc has completely hung up during remote maintenance?

I was just at home on my PC, logged on to Anydesk via my laptop. I just made an archive with 7zip.

Then 7zip hung up completely, I couldn't do anything anymore. Then I tried to start the Process Explorer in Explorer to close the program. After that, the entire wind explorer hung up, I couldn't do anything anymore.

Then I made the mistake of separating from Anydesk.

Now I can neither connect with Anydesk nor with Teamviewer…

It would at least be helpful to be able to switch off the PC…

Do you have a solution?

Just wait and see, maybe later.
Or someone has to switch off the computer manually.

Unfortunately, nobody is at home, but a restart or shutdown would still be good.

If the PC hangs, the FW will also be of no use to you. In the LAN, you can still try from another PC to restart the unresponsive PC using the shutdown command over the network, but here someone has to switch the PC off and on again by hand.

Then you have to wait until you get home.

Except for trying it again after a while (because the operating system may itself detect the crash and the message "7zip does not respond anymore…" I see no solution with AnyDesk / Teamviewer.

Basically, it could be a solution if you set up a VPN tunnel on your router. With that you would also be remotely in the LAN and could use the whole range of commands for restart / WOL.
