We just moved and putting a cable from our router to my pc would be very difficult and not optimal, so the idea with Dlan. We still had old dlan plug there ("devolo highspeed ethernet 2"). But the dlan connection to my pc is very bad, (4-6 mbps) (the laptop is directly connected via lan I have 58mbps) so a huge loss of speed. I also tested different sockets, did not help much. Since the dlan plug are quite old my question is whether new dlan plug would help currently or whether it is more general on the circuit of the house.
DLAN is very prone to failure. I would prefer to install a WLAN card in the PC. For example: https://www.caseking.de/gigabyte-wb1733d-i-wlan-bluetooth-5.0-adapter-pcie-802.11ac-zubt-006.html This is Dual Band WLAN and Bluetooth 5.0 on a plug-in card. In the included instructions is also a download link to download the driver. You have to install this.
I have these too and am fully satisfied with them.
I've done everything now over Wi-Fi, the connection is 100% satisfactory, and way more cost effective than DLAN.
