Which program on Linux Mint to monitor the apartment with a laptop?

I have been using iSpy on Windows ever since to monitor the apartment with my Windows laptop in my absence. With this program the camera of the laptop is only activated and records when there's movement in the room, otherwise nothing is recorded.

And that's exactly what I'm looking for now for Linux Mint, of course for free!

What's up?

Shows the whole thing for the Raspberry Pi, but should also work on x86.
