As mentioned in the title I want to connect my laptop which has a broken screen. I do that via HDMI. That worked fine on my old TV. Now I've bought a new one and now only the cursor is displayed which I can move.
I'm absolutely no expert in the field, I just know that HDMI likes to fool around with something like that. Often this is due to various manufacturers, etc. I'm not sure if there are synonymous for something like something like drivers, because after all, HDMI works so digitally and the devices must somehow know how to "communicate" with each other.
Did you put in the input synonymous to HDMI? Sounds like that first, but click through the menu. Or throw the old again and so durchgucken / compare to it must not be connected sin. The menus of TV are all alike.
Do you happen to know which settings I have to pay attention to? I do not know about that.

The input button you have on every FB of a TV. Often a square with an arrow in it. Also self-explanatory, Since the mgl. Selection data / signals that can come in. HDMI Is HDMI quite simple
As written the menus are all almost the same, really self-explanatory. You can read. You do not have to know about it. If necessary, you look in the BD.
