So my sister has a slightly older laptop. When she turned it on, her mousepad still worked. She then started a game and suddenly it did not work anymore. I gave her a mouse to play. Unfortunately, this does not work now. I have already searched the internet and read Fn + F5 should be pressed (ie the key where this sign for the mousepad is on it) which, however, does not work. I also read that you should press Ctrl + Alt + F5, but that does not work either. When I turn the laptop off and on again, it still does not react. It does not work and I do not know now because I do not really know about laptops. Does anyone have advice for me?
For laptops, often the function and subcommands are reversed, so "F1" is e.g. Mute, for "F1" you have to "Fn" + "F1". I.d.R. Can be set in the EFI / BIOS which function the "F" keys play.
Otherwise, you have already handled the thing correctly, many laptops have a function key to disable the trackpad, google your model and try it with both "Fn" + "F'x '", so only with "F'x'", of course check after each time, if the trackpad works again. You have to be under Windows.
You certainly mean the touchpad. That usually does not work in games.
You just have to plug in the USB mouse. If it does not go to any connection, it's up to the mouse or the connections are not active (test with a USB stick)
