Full HD, UHD or 4k for video / image editing?

I make videos with my GoPro Hero 6 to 4k and my Sony Alpha 6000, I now want to get a laptop for video editing or image editing (dell xps 16). Now my question I can decide between the above mentioned picture.

However, the money also plays a role, which is why I would opt for the best "price / performance" result.

In my opinion, it is perfect.

UHD is standard nowadays. Note that the editing is much more complex than Full HD.

Since the 6000 anyway can't film 4k videos, you will be able to use this potential at the GoPro at most for cropping. So to check the final result, you do not need a 4k screen. So it is best to recommend 2K, because the video does not take up the entire screen while editing.

More important than the resolution would be me even the color fidelity.

Your Sony makes anyway only Full HD and synonymous with the GoPro you get with increasing resolution is not necessarily much better quality, synonymous due to the strong compression. The best would be to record with the GoPro in 4K and accordingly to Full HD down to expect and then to make with both cameras only Full HD movies, then you can at least counteract the compression of the GoPro data a bit by the Runterrrechnen

I operate exclusively image editing, so I can only partially make a statement on the video.

For me, it must be more than FullHD (of course, luxury problem is synonymous with ). Not necessarily because of the resolution of the pictures… But all around it. If I have Lightroom open (or even worse Photoshop) I'm a noticeable part of my monitor flutes because of the tools. With FUll HD will then the remaining area for viewing the image then so slowly but too small.

I'm now switching to qhd and also to Ultradwide. Thus I find it quite relaxed much nicer than my 27 "full hd can now play the 2t monitor
