Notebook battery charge stop?

Is there a program or similar with which I can prevent loading over 80% and unloading to less than 20%?
So that the load stops at 80% and only starts again at 20% and if the battery is switched off at 20% on battery operation?

These battery cells you must not go down to 0, then they go kaputt, is also totally full not so good for your battery cells, so you have set these values so that your battery also endures the targeted life of the computer.

You can prevent the unloading actually only if you turn off the notebook, there's no software. The 80% when charging, however, are solvable, my notebook had a standard feature on it which at 95% always paused. Unfortunately it was installed there nameless why I can't tell you exactly.

If you're worried about your battery in general and have read "that these values are optimal for life," you need to worry less. It used to be a problem and especially cell phones (I still know it from an iPhone 4 of a friend that hung 2 weeks on the line and then had a dead battery) were affected.

That is not so much the case these days. When it comes to the life of the battery, you should just be careful not to overheat the PC too often (no blanket as a backing.), Also prefer to put in the shade as the oxidation is accelerated at elevated temperature.

But it all becomes noticeable after a long time, speaks 5-6 years. However, this is normal with Li-ion batteries, each battery degrades over time

The question was whether there's a program that holds these values for yourself, not what effects it has.

There you do not need a program for it, because a board, which makes that for the Akkuzellen, is directly in the Akkupack. If your calculator gives you values from 0 to 100% when loading or unloading, these percentages refer to the actual available charge. The manufacturers like to do that differently.

Then do not tell me that but the thread creator. I know that myself (I've written a detailed answer myself)

Forgive me, the messaging system has become a bit confusing, because I'm in the wrong place…
