Microphone program?

I wanted to ask with which program you can record something on the laptop, or whether someone has a recommendation.

I can recommend Audacity.

For starters, the pre-installed "Speech Recorder" app (start menu).

But don't be surprised that it doesn't work.
Because beforehand, the apps that are allowed to access the microphone are activated in Settings> Data protection> Microphone - including the voice recorder.
