I've bought a new laptop which has no cd drive, I've bought all the extensions as a download, but the main game still quite oldschool on cd. Do you know if you can still install the game - without me having to buy it online now?
Usually there's always a booklet or slip of paper in the case where a code is written on it. You can enter it at Origin & then download the game digitally!
Maybe you still have a PC in the house. Then you can use the drive there.
Your main game (The Sims 4) should already be registered on Origin, otherwise you would not have been able to install it at that time.
So just go and log in to your existing Origin account and look under My Games, there should be the main game and you can download it there without problems then as a download version and install - the same is true of course continue for your other extensions.
You see, you do not necessarily need a CD / DVD drive…
