Restore iTunes library?

Hi! Have a new laptop and I downloaded ITunes again where I then realized with horror that my entire library has disappeared! I thought that they are stored directly in iTunes and not on the laptop. My old laptop has now been reset… Is there any way to get to my library or restore it or is it completely gone?

That's gone. Online are only things that are related to Apple Music.
All other files, playlists, etc. Should have been backed up manually.
If you have not made a backup of the media library files before, they are now gone. Usually those are in the music folder.
