DHL package, is a reflex camera with a battery a dangerous good?

I sent a package to the Netherlands and got it back after a month on the grounds that it was dangerous goods because the camera contains a battery… Is this normal? When I order a camera, laptop or etc on the Internet, I get the package just like that without any dangerous goods or anything on it.

DHL package, is a reflex camera with a battery a "dangerous good"?

Yes. Is she.

Zi

Do you have to label it?

Te

Yes it is - all devices with batteries are identified as such on the packaging.

ru

Yes, see also here:

Theoretically because of the battery, yes.

Nobody cares. You should only put the battery extra when shipping, not in the camera.

And don't write on the outside what's inside.

This is EU, normally nobody controls it.

You were probably unlucky, sample.

Bl

Yes, that's normal, because no batteries can be shipped abroad, whether in the cell phone, laptop, camera, electric scooter or anywhere else.
The programs are usually screened and then go back. The shipping costs are not returned.

What companies are allowed to do and what private individuals are allowed to do are different pairs of shoes.

Then you haven't really looked at it yet. There's always a hint on it, so that it is dealt with accordingly. Anything with a battery is potentially dangerous.

Nobody cares.

Maybe not you, but "nobody" is slightly exaggerated: https://www.paketda.de/verschicken/batterie-akku-gefahrgut.html
