Stressed because I can never decide?

I'm always stressed because I need some things, like A laptop, an evening dress, etc. These are not all that cheap purchases.

Since I do not have much money, I do not want to allow myself any mistakes. The dress has to be perfect so that I will not have to buy anything new in the next few years and of course the laptop has to be the best of the price / performance ratio.

But my research has been going on for days and it just makes me mentally and physically ready.

How do you deal with such situations? Do you risk buying something "not quite perfect", or do you buy more impulsively and quickly? (And yes, I really need these things, borrowing is out of the question)
