Moin, I have to install a new network driver in my laptop. The network is not displayed to me in the device manager. So I don't know how to install or update the driver. Can someone help me?
Driver: 802.11b / g / n USB Wireless LAN Card
Laptop: Captiva 14.1 z8350
Your laptop has a Wi-Fi adapter on board?
If it doesn't appear, it's likely turned off or defective.
Is that a stick? If so, it should be detected automatically, especially with Win10.
Here is the driver, your laptop has an Intel adapter:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/30057/Windows-10-Wi-Fi-Drivers-for-Intel-Wireless-Adapters
And how do I install it?
It is an exe file, should be started with a double click, it will be an installer.
I'll try it out. And I have the same problem with the sound card. Could you find a driver for me there too?
In all research I did not find any information for a sound card, maybe you will find an information in the device manager (possibly under audio)
Here is a page (scroll down) with audio drivers:
https://www.driveridentifier.com/scan/realtek-high-definition-audio-driver/download/1075367927/6F4C960D83CC4009832DC608FE69D264/HDAUDIO%5CFUNC_01%26VEN_10EC%26DEV_0260
look there and compare, because of version etc.
That's how I got it, Wi-Fi works again. I only need the sound card driver
Couldn't find out which sound card is installed. Look under system or settings for sound, or device manager.
I opened it from the Control Panel, then Hardware and Sound, and then Sound. No audio devices are installed. So it is there
Important for you with audio is F3, F4, F5
F3 is to decrease the volume
F4 is volume up
F5 is to turn off volume (loudspeaker) - i.e. Loudspeaker symbol with an X
3 buttons in conjunction with FN. (First press FN then the corresponding key (F3-F5).
Unfortunately, the display in the mailbox does not work.
