I sent my meter reading yesterday and found that I only used just under 500 kWh last year. Can it be that there was so little? I have a PC, TV, laptop that are constantly running and my cell phone often hangs when charging.

Otherwise, with the continuous "connection" - running TV / laptop / PC… Light and other sources of use such as refrigerator and Co are also added, your daily consumption should be significantly higher than an average of almost 1.4 kw per day.

Otherwise I would think you read the wrong counter. Or the landlord has mixed up the meters. It could be the counter for staircase lighting. That takes so little a year…
