Laptop doesn't lose the internet connection for a short time every hour, regardless of whether it is WLAN or LAN?

This can't be due to the router, because this does not happen on any of the other devices.

I have a new switch where the laptop is also connected, but that also happens via WLAN. So what is wrong with the network adapter what else.

What was it?

st

Is it EXACTLY an hour?

So something behind it that measures the time of connection?

Or is that "in about an hour"?

and: what's going on?

Sp

It's probably because of the LAN connection… But I'm surprised because the switch is almost new. If I were to test the cables and ports now, the diagnosis would take forever because it really takes at least an hour for the Internet to fail again (there's no loose connection). I have now plugged the LAN cable from the switch to the router into another port on the router.

st

Maybe it is a configuration, a sleep mode or something similar.

Sp

It must be due to my laptop because no other device is losing the connection and it is not due to the LAN cable to the laptop. I'll reset the network adapter again later and if it doesn't work, I have to report it to the seller.

st

The probability is probably only 10%, although not zero.

What happens if you send out pings? Or to the Lappi?

Sp

I can send pings without problems. I'll try again if I lose connectivity again. So resetting the network adapter did nothing

st

Then it is NOT the laptop. Because if the ping is answered, there's a connection.

What is a "network adapter"?

Please post a drawing or link it to what is connected to where with what in which way (cable, wireless).

Sp

I got it wrong. I ran the "Reset Network" function on Windows 10.

st

About Girlfriend, that won't work for you anymore because the matter is too complex.

Perhaps you would like to start reading here and click a few links. There you explained the basic functions.

After that it will probably work. If not, you've found the terms that make you ask a question in a way that a professional idiot can understand and answer.

and: Do not reset Windows, please. It's like tidying up an apartment and getting the furniture out. After that, the apartment is empty, not tidy.

Please only read the link. It will help you for the rest of your life. You need it again and again.

I updated the driver because it was already out of date. In addition, this error is probably not exactly unknown🙃
