To be able to understand my question I have to go back briefly:
I got a new laptop and now want to install MS Office on it. The license is linked to the Microsoft account. However, I only want to use it until I can transfer the files from the old to the new. All files that are currently on the new laptop will be deleted.
The question now is, can I install Office again if I log in with the same Microsoft account? (The previous installation would be gone)
I'm afraid that won't work… I recently had to replace the hdd in my laptop, but after I pulled a win 10 edition for the usb stick from the mircosoft site, I was able to log in with my Microsoft account when installing and after the win installation reinstall my office., in my Microsoft account all my computers with all mircosoft versions were listed… I suspect that this is recognized by the serial number of the device., and for you it's a different device… But that's just ne guess!
Thank you. It is the same device only it is deleted once.
Simple google question:
Then it should work - that's how it was for me too
