Windows 10 reset, hung, canceled. Don't recognize Bootstick?

Wanted to reset a purchased used laptop, the reset was hanging at 32% for over an hour, so I canceled the reset.

Now I have to log in with the seller's Microsoft account. I can't because I don't have his password (which he probably won't give me either).

Alternatively, I tried to start using a boot stick, in the BIOS I selected the stick as the primary start object, but he still wants the password from the Microsoft account. How can it be if I have selected the stick as the start medium?

In this case, I would set up the system from scratch instead of resetting.

Basically, you should set up used computers from other people completely new after purchase and not just reset them.

Why should you deal with other people's data garbage?
