Laptops: differences between ultra, gaming, business?
Ultra = Ultra performance
gaming = suitable for games
business = office calculator
Wow, that was hard, you have to ponder for a while…
Business laptops are, as the name implies, intended for business people. These laptops are very light and thin, but are also quite expensive. And no, these laptops are not made for gambling. ^^
Just like the so-called ultra-books. These are also very thin and light and intended for business, for the university and so on. But also have their price.
Gaming laptops are just what the name implies. Where it always depends on the hardware installed on it. It is sometimes driven here also Schindluder with the names.
The differences are in the handling (thickness, weight), in the hardware equipment and the memory art.
In good ultrabooks, everything is often kept as light and thin as possible. The cooling is not designed for permanent full load of the processor, but much more on a use, where only briefly the CPU is loaded, so office stuff. But also more complex tasks, which is why here smaller dedicated GPUS are installed. This keeps the notebook thin, light and quiet. In addition, rather 'slower' but beautiful IPS panels are installed and as storage only SSD storage (240GB are enough here already often)
A gaming notebook is heavy, thick, attacks as a mass storage often still on conventional HDDs and sets rather fast TN panels with often over 144 Hz. Here mobility is a secondary factor in the way he should not be used often, the battery does not hold any 3 hours, but he should be only halfway transportable and layable. In addition, set with illuminated keyboard and other bells and whistles on the look.
A Businness notebook is usually kept cheaper and it is only the bare necessities installed, often it is a bit heavier and thicker than an ultrabook, but just cheaper. Standard office work is primarily targeted, with good possibility for mobile use
Thank you. Super thin, easy, is not that important to me. And a great graphics card not synonymous. So I tick something on the comparison portal? Simple notebook?
Thanks for pondering.
With pleasure.
Thank you. Then "my type" is probably business. Which factor determines the speed? Memory, of course, but which type best? HDDs are so cumbersome, and SSD is better?
SSDs are much faster than HDDs. As long as a very acceptable Intel Pentium, i3 or better is installed and 4 or more GB of RAM, then the SSD is the deciding factor. They are quiet, light and very fast, but also more expensive, but for 20 euro you get already 120 GB models, for 35 euro already 240 GB, etc. In addition, I would pay attention that an IPS panel is installed, the cheap TN panels, especially by acer, they are often so bad in the angle, that you never see the whole picture in the right color, no matter how the viewing angle is!
