Convert from SSD to HDD?

Can you convert from an SSD in a laptop to an HDD, since my gaming laptop with 190 GB is very limited and I only have about 3 GB left. Do I have to have a better SSD installed or can I also install an HDD?

At today's prices: Take a bigger SSD. HDDs for notebooks are simply no longer profitable. Even 1TB SSDs are almost "thrown" at you, soon on 2TB if this continues (it would be the moment for me when the last HDD flies out of the PC)

You can get a 512GB SSD for around 100 euro, so definitely get a new SSD and definitely not get an HDD because it is simply much slower

Today, HDDs are only used as mass grave storage. For music, pictures, documents or videos. But as a system disk with programs and games, that would be a real step backwards. Better get an SSD with more capacity. They are not that expensive anymore. But it is also good, as I said, to have an HDD on the side for the files mentioned. Then the SSD will not fill up too quickly. Here is an example.

Gives 1 TB SSD for 98 euro. Just for information.

I'm currently using the laptop for Vegas Pro 16, Audacity and some games, and still Movavi or pointed means. But I will very likely get an SSD then, but should I only upgrade one SSD or how is it?

Se

Of course it depends. First, how much data will you be dealing with in the future. If there are many, you can also connect an external HDD via USB, for music, pictures or other files. If there are not that many, then just the SSD you bought could be enough. And secondly, of course it depends on your budget.

So I would first upgrade with an SSD. If the space becomes tight at some point, simply buy an external HDD and simply move files over to make more space on the SSD. Very easily.

I have an external HDD, but most of the data is in the documents and in the AppData folders, I will very likely buy a SSD that is good, and then put the important files on the SSD and reinstall the programs.
