When I play my gaming laptop and at the same time I charge the laptop / battery, it gets very hot and the fans get faster and slower. Louder, is that normal?

I bought the laptop 2 weeks ago, it's brand new!

The problem is that battery lasts 3 hours if I'm just gambling (otherwise 7-8 hours), then I do not want to turn off the game and wait 2 hours until the battery is full again, so plug in the charging cable and keep playing! From this moment on, the right bottom side of the laptop gets really warm and the fans get faster and louder… Is that supposed to be the case?

If I play without charging, the laptop does not get warm and the fans do not sound!

The laptop has plenty of slots and cooling fans on the sides and back. If that helps with your answer

This is the data =

i7, 256 SSD, 1TB, GTX 1060, 16GB Ram, I think it's Full HD

If you play a game while in battery mode, the components will not perform to their full capacity and will not get really warm, but connecting your charging cable will allow the components to be fully utilized and thus warmer. And that's normal too, if that were not the case, you could not gamble so long on battery power.

This is normal because the shop additionally generates extra heat and as soon as the laptop hangs on the cable, the hardware only "unfolds" its correct performance. Can you just take the battery out of the laptop? If so, I would recommend that to you and always use the laptop with the power cord if you use the laptop always so long.

Jo

Yes, it is Full HD, an i7 is not equal to an i7.
Each laptop will be warm, initially while playing and charging at the same time, and after a while even when it is not charging.
It is a laptop, and also normal that it gets warm and the fans are faster and louder.

So play and charge at the same time is not a problem even if it gets too hot, I understood correctly?

Dy

Yes, I can take it out!

Why should I take it out? Does it break the battery if it gets too hot?

Dy

Hmm ok

Another question, how long does a gaming laptop last? Maybe 5 years?

pa

The constant loading and unloading can and will permanently damage the battery. And as I said when your laptop is running on battery, your hardware is in power save mode. But if the laptop hangs on the cord, your hardware can really pump through and use all its power. And since you seem to always have longer sessions, it is recommended to take the battery out and play it with the cable.

I did not know that thanks for info! 👍

Any tips? This is my first gaming laptop, I have little to no idea unfortunately

pa

Not really. Just keep it in mind that the laptop is always nice air say on a table or other stands and not on blankets, on the bed or anywhere else.

Jo

4-5 years, do not worry.
