Micro on headphones is no longer recognized. What to do?

Win10; Analog headphones from Razer; an analog connection on the laptop.

I had rare problems with the sound (stuttering in certain programs). Microphone on the headset has been detected and has always worked.

Dauraufhin I decided to reinstall the Soundtreider (sound driver for my laptop from April 2018).

Microphone on the headset is no longer recognized. Microphone on the laptop works. Microphone on the headset still works on my phone.

Windows privacy in terms of sound has been checked.

Solution found.

Have certainly read through 50 threads and nothing helped.

Since I came up with the idea to plug in other analog headphones. Windows asked how I wanted to use them and I set "Headset". These worked.

Then I put the others back in and behold, my chatter was recognized.

Peculiar solution.
