Almost everyone is sticking and many never use the camera and microphone at all. Why are notebooks still only with camera and microphone?
It costs 0.26 euro per notebook in production. If you now have a series with one and then without it suddenly costs 0.78 euro per notebook for the series with camera and microphone.
Because there's software that needs it, eg Skype. The extra effort for 2 different types (with and without) in manufacturing and distribution would be far greater than the cost of these parts.
Even for the user, gluing is easier than looking for a model without.
Microphone but does not help. The recording quality is getting worse, but you can restore that later.
You can also put an empty jack into the microphone jack, then the built-in microphone is off.
It is easier to disable the camera and microphone than to retrofit it.
