My problem is this: I would like to play Sims on my laptop, but now I have Linux and somehow I can't play sims here. Can I have Windows XP / 7 as a dual boot? (Have Sims 2 CDs, which only fit the old Windows versions)
If not, is there a way to play Linux sims?

Which Sims is it?

Some games work quite well with PlayOnLinux.

So at home I have sims 2 and sims 3 (but unfortunately only one extension)

Okay, you could try it first with a virtual machine. If the games are in there you do not need to set up a dual boot system.

An

Already Sims trying to get under Wine to work? Then you could also play it on Linux… Otherwise, a Virtual Maschiene, if then the calculator is too weak you can still make a paddle boat out of it xD

Since I load windows xp up or how?

Guaranteed older Sims parts run with WINE. Part 4 runs smoothly.

Look at https://lutris.net/games/

They offer very good installation scripts for it (it's totally easy).

If there's this Sims part on Steam, take a look at: https://www.protondb.com/

Then you can probably install it normally with Steam (under Linux), without noticing!

Better Windows 7, unless you disable the internet connection for the VM. XP is no longer on the net.
