Passing from notebook to notebook Internet?

I would like to know how I pass on from a laptop (Windows XP Professional), which has a good wireless connection, to a laptop (Windows 10) Internet side by side?

Would it be possible to receive Internet via Wi-Fi and then to give Wi-Fi to others under Windows XP, as a kind of base / repeater?

Please do not recommend softwares, as most programs will not work under XP.

Or does it work via crossover cable? If so, how do you do that if I want to provide internet from a laptop running Win-XP to another laptop using Win 10?

I hope for helpful answers with instructions, or other solutions.

Do the two devices have a socket for a LAN connection?

I know that PCs often have that, but with laptops?

Why not buy a Wi-Fi adapter for the second laptop for less than 10 euro, if it does not have WLAN installed anyway? The latter is actually probably on newer devices.

Let's start with your real question:

You go to the Internet with a WinXP?

This is extremely irresponsible!

And a Win7 would not be suitable for it (Supportend: 14.01.2020).

I would install an economical Linux parallel in your place. So you can easily surf the net. And the WinXP I would completely disconnect from the Internet and only use offline.

I recommend the popular MX-Linux, which is offered as a 32bit and 64bit version. It is based on Debian and AntiX.

And Linux also supports many WLan adapters, both internal and USB models.

That would work if the windows xp device had two different wireless cards. Or you would extend the wlan over a lankabel.

but I would a.) not so vulnerable and b.) not necessarily so much energy for a suboptimal solution verpulvern.

look for an accespoint with lan connection, which you can operate in bridge mode. This is the same, only much more economical in use, easier to set up and safer.
