Hello dear community and thank you for your answer! My laptop (Mac) crashed yesterday, I had a Word document open but it was / was saved. When I open the document now, Word will restore all previous versions (although I don't need them because my document is saved). However, there are so many versions that Word keeps overloading itself (we're talking about at least 100 versions) and crashing. How do I make Word not do this recovery process?
So, I made up something:
I take OpenOffice (free of charge) and open the file. Then I copy the last version of the text, close OO and then I open word, new document and paste the text there again. Should work.
Maybe I can save the document in OO as a Word file without taking the ballast with me. Check out, babe!
