My Wii is connected to the monitor, but it says "HDMI out of specification".
I don't have a PC on hand or a laptop.

That That the monitor can't reproduce the signal because it is outside of the specifications (refresh rate too high, resolution too high, color depth too high or a combination of the just mentioned…).
