I have had a laptop with a NVidia GTX 1060 for a long time. Now I have updated the driver and now the graphics card is no longer in the device manager.
Why is it gone and how can I add it back?
You can try installing the original driver.
Does the PC otherwise work as it should? Then it shouldn't be a problem if you don't see the graphics card in Device Manager.
If you only recently installed the driver today and it does not appear in Device Manager, but everything else works, restarting should fix the problem. If the graphics card is not recognized, you can tell immediately from the low resolution that you suddenly have.
The problem has already been solved. The graphics card is displayed again after the restart.
Restart computer
Click on "Search for changed hardware"
Install drivers via GeForce Experience (if not already done)
