Record on Audacity with Mixer?

I have a problem. I want to record several tracks on Audacity and then make a song of it. I have a small mixer and would connect the cable via a CD / TAPE output to my laptop. Is that even possible, what would I need and what settings should I take into account?

Start Audacity and see what sources of recording you see when you connect your Behringer (all HP drivers should be installed). A gazebo laptop actually has a combo jack, so it can also record external microphone signals through this interface. If Audacity does not show you anything, it will not work…

I've already tried to make some recordings and the microphone is displayed but when I press the recording button, then it is recorded but you just hear nothing (a constant line)
