I have a problem. I want to record several tracks on Audacity and then make a song of it. I have a small mixer and would connect the cable via a CD / TAPE output to my laptop. Is that even possible, what would I need and what settings should I take into account?
Blender: Behringer Xenyx 502
Laptop: HP Pavilion A8 (unfortunately without MIC input)
You can't record multiple tracks simultaneously with Audacity.
I meant successively recording each other. Not at the same time
What says the manual of the Behringer Xenyx 502?
I think I'm pretty hopeless to find that, I'm sorry, but if anyone else really has any idea about the whole thing, I'd be glad to get some advice
Um, Google needs 3 seconds for it!

Thank you very much! 😊
Must buy a USB sound card so you have a microphone or line in connection.
Use this in Audacity to record
Start Audacity and see what sources of recording you see when you connect your Behringer (all HP drivers should be installed). A gazebo laptop actually has a combo jack, so it can also record external microphone signals through this interface. If Audacity does not show you anything, it will not work…
I've already tried to make some recordings and the microphone is displayed but when I press the recording button, then it is recorded but you just hear nothing (a constant line)
