I would like to connect my Pioneer mixer to the laptop in order to stream the sound coming from the mixer via OBS. I have a RCA output on the master output on the mixer with a RCA to AUX adapter. Then the aux cable plugged into the pc.
How do I get it that the sound is "recognized" by the mixer in order to be recorded by OBS? At best with the addition that the incoming sound is passed on to my system via HDMI so that I can hear something live from it.
The input is the microphone, the output is the speaker, so what you want to enter into the PC should be done via a microphone connection, and then set the microphone settings in the associated program from the mixer, that should work.
Unfortunately, despite the playback (I tested it with a small box), there's no rash in the Windows input panel.
Then the micro settings do not match, so in the system control and under sound or extra selection under microphone recording.
Maybe you just wired something wrong.
Got it done! I had to open the sound card driver (Realtek in this case) and declare the AUX port as microphone / audio input, then it worked fine.
this is just for information in case anyone with the same problem should read this!
