How sound on when hard drive is connected?

So I downloaded a few movies yesterday on the hard drive and wanted to watch them on my laptop. Everything works but the sound is not there, I've already looked and tested but the sound just does not come. For information I have an HP computer. Hope you can help me.

If you generally have no sound (synonymous with Youtube not) then you have another problem.

For the movies try the https://www.vlc.de/.
The Windows Media Player can't do anything with each codec.

Play the movies on the record with the VLC player.
