I bought about 1 month ago a used HP Omen (if I'm not mistaken the 17 w-000). The laptop I wanted to use to gamble only I have found that he gets me very hot within about 15 minutes and then set directly fps drops to 10-20 to the complete shutdown of the laptop. When I opened the cover, I noticed that the fan was very dirty, whereupon I cleaned it, but I also wondered why only one fan was installed on this hardware. Since I can forget the laptop to gamble now, I wanted to ask for advice what I could possibly still do to reduce the heat or whether I should just sell it because it is hopeless? The thermal paste of the CPU, I have already renewed, this was already a bit hard and thick applied. I have already underclocked the CPU. I ask for advice.
Here are the specs:
Intel Core I7-6700HQ
Nvidia GTX 965M
16GB Ram
128GB SSD
1TB HDD
To my knowledge, should I have no problems with the fps with these specs?
LG
EDIT: The CPU temperatures were about 95 degrees without doing anything, after underclocking, etc. At about 85 degrees.
See if the fan of the GPU is running
What will be warm? GPU, CPU or both? Can you read with tools like HWiNFO64?
The CPU
Yes, it works!
(if I'm not mistaken 17 w-000).
Stands on the bottom of the laptop

Which WLP did you use? Please no 1 euro
It was time to change times
Hopefully about a pea-sized amount MAXIMUM
I ask for advice.
Unfortunately, I do not know the inside of the laptop, but you can get a cooling pad for laptops. It has built-in fans and so you can possibly additionally cool the laptop.
Also, you should see if the exhaust ducts are free, only the CPU is not enough because somewhere, of course, the warm air.
Otherwise my tip: No laptop for gambling.
I can't give you any other advice. There are not many options.
