Why laptop louder when used as a tablet?

My device is an HP envy x360.

I've had it for about 2 weeks now, and whenever I use it as a tablet (for OneNote or Autodesk Sketchbook), the fan goes on and not goes out until I fold the keyboard around. Don't think that the laptop gets much warmer than normal, but I'm just wondering if that's normal and if there's anything I can do about it.

I'm grateful for any helpful answer

st

Maybe the keyboard is blocking the ventilation?

Ab

Hmm so as I have noticed so far, the air comes from the left side, but below the laptop also has holes. But I would think that they have nothing to do with it

Give him a sip of water and he'll be quieter. At least, most of the time.

Ab

Oh haha

noeee, the laptop was a bit too expensive for me.

It may be that you hold any ventilation slots unnoticed in tablet mode and thus become warmer and the fan starts up / turns up.

So a laptop is noiseless? Your laptop has a cooler that makes noise. Maybe dedusting.

If you ever heard my helicopter with over 40 Dba, your laptop would be quiet quickly. A graphic alone on a PC is around 30 dba loud.

Just don't worry unless it's a jet plane

Ab

It is only new, do not think that a lot of dust has already accumulated there

It was just strange how quickly I can no longer hear the fan when the keyboard is in front of me again.

if it overheats, that's not a good thing either

jo

Well. The laptop cooler is enough. You can check out the temps.

But believe me, a laptop is very quiet compared to a PC (mostly)

I would be happy if my PC were like an office laptop. I would have kissed the floor.

Do you have a gaming or office laptop?

Ab

Office. I need it for my studies. Previously had one of lenovo, but for almost 2 years only problems with it, eg a spot of light kept coming in the same place, so I have now invested a little more money. I regretted that I didn't get a laptop with a touch.

I'm just a bit more sensitive now with problems with a device. Had another question posted earlier: Do you happen to know what an .nfo file is? Such a message now always appears when I start it up

jo

What exactly does the message show? Since it is an office laptop, it should be quiet, so don't worry.

Gotta link you
