HP Notebook Bundled Warranty?

My 2 year old notebook from HP (15-bs026ng) has an extended warranty that is still valid for 13 months (checked on the HP side with the serial number) I just don't understand what it contains.

Briefly about the defect, - there was a crack when the monitor was opened, the plastic hinge is probably broken off, it can hardly be opened and closed, the monitor cover comes loose, this creates a strong tension.

Unfortunately, you would have to remove the back plus some cable connections to replace the hinge cover (I would probably try if hp doesn't).

Regarding the real question, does my protection include such material damage?

The following is in the warranty info:

warranty type

Bundled guarantee

service type

HP Bundled Hardware Offsite Support

service level

Standard Access to ITRC (Hhomework), Country Coverage, Std Office Hrs Std Office Days, Std Turn-Around, Pickup by HP, Standart Material Handling, No Special Coverage, Hp ships to customer site.

Result: Hardware Problem Diagnosis, Offsite Support & Materials.

This will not be guaranteed. Unless there's a manufacturing defect in the housing.

I rather assume that the defect is due to incorrect use.

Well… You can try it.

Thank you for your answer,

can you see whether housing / material damage would be covered at all?

The notebook was a little harder to get apart from the start. Fold up as my old laptop (as if the "grease" was missing) but I didn't see it as a big problem. Now that's probably what I'm doing.

On the plastic cladding of the metal hinge, only 2 mini feet (one with screw) broke off, maybe the real problem is the metal hinge that is no longer common…
