Will my notebook create this game?

Pretty stupid question, but I do not really understand the whole thing about Intel's Turbo Boost. I wonder if my notebook packs "Rise of the Tomb Raider". Minimum requirement of the processor are dual 3.1 Ghz, my calculator should reach with activated Turbo Boost this 3.1 Ghz, but these 3.1 are really the maximum.

I ask myself, is this boost enabled at all? Even made smart and even looked at the bios, but there's nothing to see "performance" or the like.

Data for the notebook are here https://support.hp.com/.../c05813154

Yes, should work!

The "Boost" is automatically activated when a lot of power is needed.
The game should be running.

I heard about that, but I was not sure if that was really what I meant.

br

No. Rather unsuitable.

It will run, but looks really bad.

CPU too weak and worse the GPU is also very weak.

The turbo is held only for a few seconds. Then the clock of CPU and GPU (graphics card) lowers.

Especially notebooks are very limitative because they are not directly comparable with desktop PC.

Ja

Low to medium details in reduced resolution are enough for the notebook. In that sense, you can view it as playable.

With the GHZ you worry too much, because they do not give the sole meaningfulness about the processor. The required i3 2100 is much older and home in a different (weaker) league than your i5 7200U.

The TurboBoost is an automatically controlled turbo, which the processor switches on when needed to make calculations faster when it becomes apparent that the current computing power is slowing the system down too much. This boost is only switched on for individual arithmetic operations (fractions of a second) since it would not be designed for a longer operation depending on the energy requirement and the temperature development.
