So I was about to prepare a lecture when suddenly the screen turned black and the laptop gave an external noise. Then I just turned it off and wanted to turn it on again, but the screen was just black. However, the power button lights up every 5 seconds. I have already repeatedly removed the battery and turned it on again, but it always worked out the same way. I use an HP 650.
Would anyone have any idea what I could do to get it to work again?
I have to finish the lecture as soon as possible and for that I would need my laptop.
Maybe get too warm, cool down and restart?
According to HP:
Step 1: Perform a hardware reset
If a computer suddenly stops booting up properly, you should perform a hard reset.
Remove all peripherals and all USB devices and media cards. You want to test the computer, not the accessories!
Disconnect the AC adapter, remove the battery, and press and hold the power button for at least 15 seconds.
Reconnect the AC adapter (but do not insert the battery), press the power button, observe the LEDs near the Caps Lock key and the Num Lock button, and listen to the hard disk or fan noise.
Ans charging cable?
I've already tried, but nothing has changed: /
I've tried it, but not much has happened there anyway thanks
Yes I'll do it in half an hour, I think I'll try again
That does not sound good.
I used to often (storage heat), tablecloth, duvet! The fan could also be clogged!
