Laptop battery broken or power adapter?

I have the following problem:

my laptop has long been such a tick that he if he is not connected to the power supply is out after 2 minutes and the power supply had to be disconnected from the power for 1 minute so he reloads. So every time I turn it off, I also disconnect the power supply from the power. When I plug it in again to start the laptop the orange light comes on. Just now I wanted to turn my laptop back on but the light has flashed very briefly and the laptop did not charge and went out accordingly after 2 minutes again. I have an Asus F75VB-TY049H.

is my power supply broken or the battery or something else?

Smells more like a broken battery, how is the state of charge of the battery when that happens? Your laptop should already have about four years on the hump.

Sounds like a broken battery

So in Windows the battery indicator is filled by three quarters the exact percentage I did not look

So if the battery is really over, it may already be at this state of charge, that the voltage at load so much breaks down, that it is not enough to keep the laptop in a good mood. Since he works so if the power supply is plugged in, it will most likely be the battery that lets you here in stitch. If he is otherwise running well, a battery exchange should be economically worthwhile.

@ Fusselmann ok many then

There's clearly the battery is defective, so he goes out after 2 minutes.

Presumably he goes through residual load and internal discharges quickly into the total discharge. That's why the power supply unit is inappropriate because deeply discharged batteries must not be charged, risk of explosion.

Each time you plug in, the power supply malm tries to make a power surge. If the battery is out of the low again then it is charged again.
