My laptop (Hp laptop 17-ca0xxx / operating system: Windows 10) needs to boot up every day for different amounts of time. Sometimes it is ready after 10 seconds or less, but sometimes only after one minute. Is there a reason for that?
Task manager and watch what is started when booting
Is theoretically always the same?
Cuck easily after programs can pack themselves in the list
What should that bring me?
No. My question is not why booting takes a long time, but why it always takes different lengths.
Probably depends on which programs have something to do at startup. Sometimes some background processes are started directly, like the automatic search for updates. It's best always to remove everything unnecessary from the startup.
I have the experience that it usually takes longer, even if the PC has not been used for a long time.
I have already done that. I use my laptop every day.
Some programs are not always looking for updates, with some you can set it. Likewise, automatic defragmentation is not performed daily. But that's also because of the operating system itself, that it never has exactly the same boot time, sometimes system interrupts intervene or one program / service starts faster than another, etc.
The reason is simply that the processes are not executed one after the other but all in parallel and the CPU can't handle all tasks at the same time, but always selects a few.
At least that's my guess
OK.
No problem.
