The hinge of my HP laptop is broken and it can no longer be opened without breaking off the plastic that is around the display. Can you somehow send this away for repair and how much would that cost? Then where does it have to be sent or where can I find out?
Depending on the age of the device, something can be done through the dealer, since such a hinge break usually occurs far outside the warranty period, you will be able to bend it. Just mending is not possible either. The only feasible solution would be that you get the same housing on eBay (from a device that is in the bucket but housing is ok) and then rebuild. But that also takes a little skill.
