For some time now I have had the problem with my notebook that if it is connected to the power while it is in use, it repeatedly switches between mains and battery operation. The light that shows that the device is being charged also goes on and off accordingly.
However, when I charge the notebook when it is switched off, it charges continuously.
What can be the reason and can I do something about it?
This can be due to many factors. Most likely, however, is that the cable has a broken cable or is otherwise broken. So I would try a different cable and see if the problem persists.
If it is not on the cable, it is either on the charging opening or on the laptop itself. Look again whether there's dust or something in the charging opening of the laptop and remove it if necessary with e.g. Tweezers.
If neither does anything, it's the laptop. I would then take it to an electronics retailer or, if necessary, send it back, have it repaired or replaced.
How does the device behave when you operate it on the mains without a battery?
I've already bought a new cable. The funny thing is that it's only when it's on
I can't easily remove the battery. It's built in somewhere inside
