Laptop mouse no longer works?

I have had an extra mouse on my laptop for a long time with which a small USB chip is plugged into the laptop. But now that I have taken it out again to use the mouse which is "on" my laptop, so this "touch area" then the mouse no longer moves on the screen.

There's usually a function where you can switch the "touch surface" on and off!
Maybe you turned this off?!

Do you have another mouse? If so, try to see if it works with it, otherwise your mouse may be broken.
